We will be picked up in the morning for a jungle excursion. During this day we will experience the hot springs waterfall Namtok Ron, a hike to the Emerald Pool at Sa Morakot, and a climb up to the Tiger Cave Temple to see the giant golden Buddha that overlooks Krabi. Along the way, you can look out for the monkeys that call that spot home. After this full day, we will have another dinner prepared for us at the villa.
After the workout from the day before, you will be given time to rest during the morning. In the afternoon we will be picked up for a cooking experience further inland. This incredible class is at the cookery school of internationally renowned Chef Chonlaya Laothong (Ya) who has even been featured on Chef Gordon Ramsay's show "Great Escapes". We will learn how to make multiple different Thai dishes. After our class we will enjoy the fruits of our labor with a feast of Thai food. That evening back at the villa we will have snacks for those whose stomachs are not yet fully stuffed.
In the morning we will be picked up for our day of island hopping. We will board a speedboat that will jet us around to multiple spots including Bamboo Island, Phi Phi Island, Maya Beach, Pileh Lagoon, and more. This packed day of fun includes swimming, snorkeling, and some of the most lovely beaches you've ever seen. Dinner will again be prepared at our villa at night.
This day is all about relaxation. Thai massages are on the agenda as we begin to wind down. You will have the opportunity to either go back to Aonang Beach or stay back to relax poolside. We will have our last dinner in Krabi out at a local restaurant.
We will wrap up and be transported to the airport for our flight back to Bangkok. From there you can either fly back home or take some time to experience more of Thailand. If you decide to head into Bangkok and would like suggestions for your time there, I'll be happy to help.
We will meet in the Bangkok airport for our flight down to Southern Thailand. I highly suggest that you fly into Bangkok and either spend some time there first or simply stay a night or two near the airport as you work through jet lag. Once we arrive in Krabi, airport pick-up will be arranged to whisk our group away to a private villa in Krabi. As we unpack and enjoy this space, a Thai chef will be preparing the first private dinner for our group.
After a restful morning, we will be driven to the beautiful Aonang Beach. During the afternoon you will have time to shop along the boardwalk, grab a drink, swim in the warm water of the Andaman Sea, or just enjoy the beach. That night we will ride in TukTuks to dinner at a restaurant nearby before heading back to our villa.
Our morning will be spent relaxing around the beautiful villa before we head out to an elephant sanctuary. We will spend the afternoon at the sanctuary interacting with, learning about, feeding, and even bathing the elephants that call this sanctuary home. It will be an experience with these incredible creatures that you will never forget! Another delicious dinner will await us at our villa.
