Photography and the beauty it captures has always interested me. But it was the birth of my three children that made it more than an interest. Like any parent, the camera became a constant companion. When my children hit milestone ages that I wanted to capture in portraits, I hated the thought of taking them to a cookie-cutter studio with fake backgrounds and cheesy smiles. I wanted creative portraits in which my child’s personality showed through. Thus began my journey to professional photography. Today I feel so blessed to be doing what I love while staying home with my three favorite photo subjects.
If you a want a portrait with a cookie-cutter pose, I'm not the photographer for you. I like natural poses and having a bit of fun with my photographs. I think that the deep stare of a child or the enthusiastic jump of a teen gives a much better window into their personality than a toothy smile against a fake background. I love to find neat locations for my photo shoot and prefer natural light if possible. My goal is to make a photo session an enjoyable experience. I want to capture you and your special season of life. Afterwards I put a lot of love and attention into processing your photos in the hope that you will be blown away by your images.
